Collective Health Appoints Senior Director of Clinical and Network Solutions

Dr. Andrew Halpert, MD Brings Decades of Experience Managing and Advising Large Employers on Healthcare Plans

January 19, 2016—San Francisco, Calif—Healthcare coverage technology leader Collective Health today announced it has appointed Andrew (Andy) Halpert, MD as senior director of clinical and network solutions. A seasoned physician leader and consultant, Dr. Halpert brings decades of experience managing and advising large employers on population management, network, and wellness strategies making him an invaluable asset to the Collective Health team and their employer clients. In his role, Dr. Halpert will collaborate with clients on the design and implementation of clinical and network solutions, ensuring that Collective Health continues to deliver operational and clinical excellence across each employer’s health benefit strategy. He will report directly to Collective Health co-founder and chief health officer Dr. Rajaie Batniji.

Dr. Halpert joins Collective Health from Willis Towers Watson’s Health Benefits practice where he served as a senior consultant. He brings extensive experience advising some of the nation’s largest employers on innovative healthcare strategies such as direct provider contracting, onsite health, and population management. Prior to Willis Towers Watson, Dr. Halpert served as a senior medical director for Blue Shield of California, where he drove Blue Shield’s population health strategy by creating new approaches in complex case management, disease management, and wellness. Dr. Halpert also served as the chief of the Harvard Community Health Plan Division of Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. During his tenure there, he was a primary care internist and a clinical instructor in medicine at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Halpert received his BA from Harvard University and MD from University of California, San Francisco. His internal medicine residency was completed at Stanford University Hospital.
