We’re thrilled to share that Collective Health has been certified for the fourth year in a row as a Great Place to Work. At Collective Health, investing in employee health and wellbeing is at the very core of what we offer our customers and we’re proud to do so for our own company. Over the last year, we’ve navigated a public health crisis and societal challenges, while continuously serving the needs of our customers, our members, and fellow coworkers. In a completely virtual environment, the team successfully executed a number of large company initiatives that furthered our mission to make healthcare more accessible for more people—from a new strategic relationship with Health Care Services Corporation (HCSC), to our annual Together conference, a series F funding announcement, and the launch of our new Premier Partner Program™.
From behind Zoom screens, our team remained invested in each other, in each other’s well being, and in our company culture. We provided enhanced COVID leave benefits across all locations, and allowed for work schedule flexibility, including reorganizing shifts to accommodate caregiver needs. We hosted a number of virtual events to foster cross-functional camaraderie—from fundraisers and charity drives to wellness challenges and a Collective Health Spirit Week. Our Employer Resource Groups (ERGs) helped to keep opportunities for learning and cultural enrichment alive by inviting us to share in the joy of Black History Month with a Soca dance class, to learn more about Asian American and Pacific Islander heritage with a cooking class, and to join a discussion on why women’s health matters.
The Great Place to Work survey asks employees questions that measure a variety of culture dimensions from equity to collaboration, camaraderie, fairness, and leadership.
Here are some of the highlights from our survey results:
- 90% of employees at Collective Health say it is a great place to work compared to 59% of employees at a typical U.S.-based company.
- 97% of Collective Health employees believe when you join Collective Health, you are made to feel welcome.
- 96% of Collective Health employees believe management is honest and ethical in its business practices.
- 95% of Collective Health employees believe people here care about each other.
- 93% of Collective Health employees believe people are given a lot of responsibility.
- 93% of Collective Health employees believe they are treated as a full member regardless of their position.
These results reinforce our continued commitment to supporting our employees’ overall wellbeing, fostering a connected and nurturing environment, and investing in our people for the long term.
But don’t take our word for it. Here’s a few words about what it’s like to work at Collective Health from some of our colleagues:
Yann Schwermer, our VP of Design in our San Francisco office, says “I love working with this immensely collaborative group of people who are in full support of our mission to transform how people understand, navigate, and pay for healthcare. We live and breathe our values of connecting with empathy, daring to solve hard problems, engaging authentically, and following our curiosity. We also love to have fun!”
Marc Lashner, Senior Software Engineer in our Chicago office, says “It’s refreshing and rare to belong to an organization that places such a strong emphasis on empathy at its core. In an industry that’s starving for innovation, I’m simply stoked to be working with a group of people so committed to solving the hard problems of healthcare with a can-do attitude and genuine care for one another.”
